Health Guidelines for Travelers with Special Needs

Flying During Pregnancy

Expectant mothers with uncomplicated pregnancies can travel with Roel Travel until the end of the 28th week of pregnancy without a medical certificate. Starting from the 29th week, a doctor's note is required, particularly in high-risk pregnancies, such as multiple births.

Medications While Traveling

  • Medications and Customs Regulations: If you carry medications or medical devices like insulin syringes in your carry-on, it is advisable to bring a medical certificate confirming the necessity of these items.
  • Precautions in Case of Loss: Request a list of essential health information from your doctor, including your blood type and detailed descriptions of prescribed medications (with generic names). These documents can be crucial if your medications are lost. Additionally, carry any paperwork that facilitates treatment or medication procurement abroad. Consult your doctor or health insurance provider for details.
  • Packaging of Medications: Ensure your medications are securely packed and, if possible, divided among multiple pieces of luggage. It is recommended to carry 1.5 to 2 times the necessary amount of medication to account for delays or route changes.
